Bobo Winthrop is one of the only human residents in midnight. He is the owner of Midnight Pawn, as well as the landlord to Manfred, Olivia and Lemuel. The shop previously belong to Lemuel until Bobo came to town, and offered to buy the pawn shop, cash in hand.
Bobo was born into a family of militarized white supremacists. Bobo did not follow his family's belief so he stole their weapons and part of their fortune and hid it away. At the start of the series, Bobo is engaged to a missing Aubrey Hamilton. When her body is found washed up on the riverside, he becomes the number one suspect in what is now a homicide case.
Bobo is has a kind and caring demeanor. However he is not above getting his hand dirty when the need arises. He wears his heart on his sleeve and is very vocal about how he feels, especially when it comes to Fiji and their budding romance.
Despite being human, Bobo is a skilled fighter.
While Bobo works the day shift, Lemuel often covers the night shift.
Midnight Pawn is supplied with antiques, weapons, jewelry and a variety of knickknacks. Manfred, being a spirit medium, is able to hear all the spirits trapped inside these second-hand objects.
